New Jersey Tax Lawyer - Thorn Law Group

Tarah Kane is a senior associate with Thorn Law Group, concentrating her legal practice on resolving national and international tax law matters.  Her work involves counseling and advocating for individuals and businesses throughout New Jersey, the U.S and worldwide.

Ms. Kane has a thorough understanding of the intricate web of laws and regulations governing domestic and foreign taxation.  She leverages her knowledge and experience to steer clients through complicated tax issues and controversies, including matters involving criminal tax investigations, business and employment tax disputes, IRS audits and appeals.

As a New Jersey tax lawyer who has handled cases for consumers and corporations in foreign countries, Ms. Kane has particular experience helping clients address disclosure problems associated with their offshore accounts and assets.  She is very familiar with the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) and works with individual taxpayers, businesses, trusts and other parties seeking to report account information through this federal tax amnesty initiative.

Ms. Kane also advises clients who are being investigated by Special Agents in the IRS Criminal Investigation Unit and handles disputes and litigation before the IRS Office of Appeals, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Tax Court and other courts in the federal system.
